CDC, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has approved the Pfizer BioNTech booster shot in battle against Covid-19 virus.
The third shot of Pfizer is now available in the United States, and great news, you can take it at the same time you get your yearly flu shot. However, even though the booster has been approved, not everyone can get it quite yet.
CDC is recommending to take the third shot when eligible. It is meant for people who has received the full Covid-19 vaccination series prior. At least six months has passed since the second shot received. At this moment, only Pfizer booster shot is approved.

The Covid-19 booster shot is available for:
- People 65 -years-of-age and older
- People over 18 years of age who are residing in a long-term care facility
- Individuals over 18 years of age with underlying medical issues and are in higher risk group to get sick
- 18 to 64-year-old individuals who are in high risk of exposure e.g., healthcare and essential workers

Get your booster from Walgreens
If you want to get your third shot through Walgreens, you must prove that you have received the 2 previous shots. You can present your vaccination card or if you are part of the Walgreens loyalty program, you can see your vaccine information through the mobile app or website. And while booking the Covid booster shot, you can get your fall flu shot at the same time. Walgreens is also offering incentives for people getting vaccines. Currently they are offering $5 Walgreens rewards pers vaccine you take.
